HRT SAFETY

HRT created the HRT safety holds technology.

When a POLYESTER hold breaks due to improper use (uneven surface, over tightening), it falls apart into pieces that can seriously injure people below. Modern climbing walls are higher than ever, and it’s easy to imagine how dangerous it can be for a piece of climbing hold that weighs about one kilogram to fall from 10-12 meters onto someone’s head. That’s why we created a technology that minimizes the chances of having broken pieces fall off the wall at all. All HRT holds have a metal string wrapped around the hole in the hold. If the hold breaks, the pieces stay together hanging on the metal string. In fact, the broken hold cannot fall down unless the hold is unscrewed. HRT holds take the worry out of broken holds falling onto your customers.

UBI TECHNOLOGY

is a revolutionary steel insert that allows the use of both countersink and cap head bolts. The cylinder fits on the flat bottom of the insert; the cone lies on the slanted outer walls.

According to Finite Element Analysis models and ISO 130 strength tests performed by HRT, hold strength increases by up to as much as 300 percent. By spreading the internal stresses in the hold more evenly around the bolt hole, the UBI technology decreases the pressure at the bottom and spreads it to the sides of the hold, making HRT holds stronger than ever.

The insert is integrated into all HRT bolt-on holds.

ULTRA LIGHT – SUPER STRONG

Always innovating and driven by the idea of creating strong AND lightweight holds, we decided not only to produce in polyurethane but to go one step further. HRT’s cutting edge research and design team was the first to come up with this technology many years ago and ahead of all competitors: Composite Holds. By making our PU holds with a hollow back, we reduce the hold’s weight by up to one-fifth of the original weight while still maintaining the

same incredible strength. As a result, our Composite holds are the lightest and strongest climbing holds the world has ever seen.

The feel and durability are still enhanced when these holds are combined with the new PU formula- DANNOMOND.

ECO-FRIENDLY HOLDS

We at HRT are very concerned about Global Warming and believe that our Composite holds technology is a tribute to the common desire to use fewer natural resources while minimizing carbon emissions. By using one-fifth of the material required for the original holds while providing the most durable holds on the market, HRT is doing its part to save the environment.
